What Is The BMW Luxury Seating Package?

The BMW Luxury Seating Package is an interior upgrade package that is available on some BMW models, including certain versions of the 5-series sedan and X5 and X6 SUVs. Depending on the trim level the Luxury Seating Package on the 5-series includes 20-way power multi-contour front seats with articulated upper backrests, 4-way lumbar support, adjustable thigh support, and Active Head Restraints. In addition the seats are ventilated and gently blow air through the micro-perforated leather to keep the driver and front passenger comfortable. The package also includes active front seats which reduce stiffness and fatigue by continuously slightly adjusting the seat surface to keep your spine in motion and your back’s muscles active. On the X5 and X6 the Luxury Seating Package includes the ventilated multi-contour front seats, while only the X6 gets an active seat for the driver.

The BMW 7-series has an optional Luxury Rear Seating Package which includes power adjustable rear comfort seating for two with adjustable headrests and a center console with cup holders. The rear seats are also ventilated and include a massage function.
