What is BMW Bluetooth?

The Bluetooth interface of BMW ConnectedDrive allows you to connect your phone to your vehicle's infotainment system. Once the phone has been connected, you can control it with the steering wheel controls, the iDrive controller, or via voice commands. BMW was the first manufacturer to offer Bluetooth connectivity in their cars, and BMW ConnectedDrive with Bluetooth interface is available on every BMW model.

Depending on the model of your phone and vehicle, you can use Bluetooth to make phone calls, play music stored on the phone (with the artist and title information displayed on the car's screen), access your address book, perform some office functions such as viewing your calendar or e-mails, or even watch a video.
