The Chrysler Group’s high-performance experts launched Satin Vapor Editions of the 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT8, Dodge Charger SRT8 and Dodge Challenger SRT8 at this year’s Chicago Auto Show, further extending the automaker’s ever-expanding range of custom-look vehicle variants. As explained by Ralph Gilles, president and CEO of the SRT Brand (and Motorsports) for the company: “We’re responding to the diversifying tastes of our performance enthusiast customers by expanding our product lineup to offer more custom models straight from the factory. Building on our core vehicle strategy, the Satin Vapor Edition models add some swagger with new, brand-exclusive finishes and content that augment the value proposition of our popular ‘Core’ price classes.”

The Satin Vapor Edition of the 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT, as well as the Dodge Charger and Challenger versions, each will feature typical SRT8 performance enhancers that start with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8. Also boasting the automaker's cylinder-deactivation technology, the powerplant produces 470 hp, 470 lb.-ft. of torque and up to 23 mpg in highway driving, and is complemented by Brembo brakes and vehicle-specific, sport-tuned suspension for all-around performance.

The 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT8 Satin Vapor Edition can then be ordered in Bright White, Billet Silver or Granite Crystal, with the appearance package providing a Satin Black roof, mirror caps and rear spoiler, as well as red-painted brake calipers and a sophisticated new look for its 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. The results combine a Black Satin Vapor Chrome finish with a split five-spoke design and embossed "SRT" logo to deliver an aggressive, street-savvy design cue.

A similar approach was used to create the other Satin Vapor vehicles, although both the Charger and Challenger get their own unique touches. For example, the Challenger SRT8 Satin Vapor Edition features a Satin Black fuel door among its upgrades, while the Charger extends its Satin Black finish to its hood and "Super Bee" tail graphic, too.

SRT also dialed up the cabin comforts for the 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT8 Satin Vapor model, as it did to the Charger/Challenger editions, and occupants for all will enjoy leather appointments and fine-tuned trim styles as part of the packages.

The Satin Vapor setups will be available in the second quarter of the year, with MSRPs of $2,300 for the 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT8; $1,700 for the 2014 Dodge Charger SRT8; and $2,330 for the 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT8.
