2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HST Limited Edition at the 2015 New York International Auto Show
The leading lights of the New York International Auto Show were out in full force this year, dazzling us with the sheer number of new vehicle reveals and intriguing automotive advancements. It was hard to whittle down the list, but we've put together the top 25 cars and trucks that caught our attention at the New York Auto Show. Style is king with the 2016 Nissan Maxima, a redesign of the full-size model that serves as the brand's sedan flagship. Look for the Maxima's eye-catching good looks, improved interior, and class-competitive drivetrain in New York.
How do you top one of the fastest four-door cars on the planet? By giving it an additional 60 horsepower, of course. The 600 horses and 590 lb-ft of twist available from the 2016 BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupe's 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 rocket it to 60-mph in 60 seconds.

A new look comes with the 2016 Smart Fortwo, but don't expect the runabout to deviate from its two-seat city car template. The three-cylinder engine under the Smart's hood displaces less than a liter, and a turbocharger helps it deliver just under 90 horsepower.
Butch, but still small: the 2016 Hyundai Tucson compact crossover receives an attitude adjustment to go with its new direct-injection four-cylinder engine. More infotainment goodies are inside, with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available with the SUV.

The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club is aimed at hardcore track fans who crave the purest driving experience possible. Lighter than the standard MX-5 Miata, the Club sticks with the stock 155 horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and features a more aggressively-tuned chassis.

The 2016 Lexus RX adds muscular, sporty styling to its toolbox with this latest redesign. Fans of the luxury suv will also appreciate the new eight-speed automatic transmission paired with its 300 horsepower V-6 engine.

It's the first-ever sedan from Scion, and the 2016 iA offers 42-mpg on the highway to go with its sporty looks. Performance isn't blistering - 106 horsepower from a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder motor - but the style quotient is strong with the small four-door Scion iA.
