The 2014 Buick LaCrosse gets a nice boost to its premium credentials for the new model year, courtesy of refreshed interior and exterior styling, additional safety technologies, and an exclusive Ultra Luxury interior-trim scheme “for owners looking for the highest in fashion and comfort.” Unsurprisingly, a boost to the Buick’s bottom line is on the horizon as well, with the 2014 LaCrosse expected to wear a starting price of $33,135 when it goes on sale a bit later this year. (Destination charges will come to $925.)

And while the exterior of the 2014 Buick LaCrosse has been fine-tuned—and accented by dramatic LED lighting treatments—the cockpit has been thoroughly revised, with designers refining the car’s central instrument panel and console, deploying new seats, and introducing enhanced materials throughout. The Ultra Luxury Interior Package then provides finishing touches, courtesy of authentic Tamo Ash wood trim, semi-aniline leather seating, synthetic suede headliner and pillar coverings, and other comfort upgrades.

Also new for the 2014 Buick LaCrosse are standard next-gen IntelliLink technology for connectivity and infotainment, and two available safety packages, combining to provide Side Blind Zone Warning, Lane Change Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Collision Prep system, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat.

Buyers also will be able to pick and choose from a long list of premium options—from a sunroof to a rear-vision camera to heated and ventilated seats—to further personalize the 2014 Buick LaCrosse, which will feature a standard eAssist powertrain capable of 36 mpg highway. Alternatively, a powerful 304-hp V6 is offered, both as a no-charge option and in combination with a Haldex all-wheel-drive system.

The party line from Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing: “The 2014 model’s beautiful design, intuitive technology and exclusive interior materials show the best of a luxury brand that has grown sales for three straight years.”
