Dramatic Drop-top Limited to 550 Units, Launches Early Next Year
Chevrolet is getting a jump on next year's convertible season—and showing off an ultra-premium edition of its new super car—with the recently announced 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition Convertible. The Premiere Edition will be priced from $77,450, which includes both destination charges and a sophisticated and exclusive appearance upgrade.
The starting point for the car will be the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray Convertible in its 3LT premium configuration, so it's already well-equipped with a high-performance Bose audio setup, heated and ventilated seating, Chevy MyLink connectivity tech, a head-up display, a leather interior, and navigation. But the Premiere Edition then gets a Lime Rock Green exterior finish that's complemented by a Brownstone interior and a special Stingray-logoed wheel design, as well as a significant boost in performance: All 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition Convertibles will be kitted out with the Z51 performance package for an additional 5 hp and 5 lb.-ft. of torque—bringing the output from the Stingray’s 6.2-liter V8 engine up to 460 of the former and 465 of the latter—along with Magnetic Selective Ride Control for even sharper reflexes.
A five-piece collection of Corvette-branded luggage from Thule helps to round out the package, with the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray Convertible Premiere Edition slated to debut early next year.
