Deciding a winner for the Autobytel Sports Car of the Year award was a tough decision for the editorial staff since the list of finalists we had were all so good. We had a hot hatchback, two small RWD coupes, and a roadster to pick from. Luckily when the votes were counted, we had a winner; the Porsche Boxster S. The Boxster S continues the trend of constant improvements Porsche is known for with more dramatic styling, improved interior appointments, and revised engine and suspension tuning. The S model uses a 3.4L flat-six engine with 315 horsepower and can be mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK gearbox. Autobytel’s Editor-in-Chief Michelle Naranjo presents the award to Jim Kennary from Porsche at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
