MissMotorMouth Tames the 2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe On-track in Spain

What’s better than a track day with an all-new Jaguar? If that track day is in Europe. Autobytel Editor-in Chief Michelle Naranjo flew to Spain for some seat time in the new 2015 Jaguar F-Type R. A track instructor was in the passenger seat to guide Michelle through the course and help her push the Jaguar to its limits, and a camera was mounted on board to capture the experience. The 2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe is powered by a 5-liter supercharged V8 that produces 550 horsepower, so it’s a challenging car to let loose. MissMotorMouth was definitely up to the task, though. Once Michelle got comfortable with the shifter and pedals, she eased the Jaguar onto the track and immediately got to accelerate. At times, it was a little hard to hear the instructor over the roar from the engine, but the Jaguar responded immediately to every command as Michelle accelerated through the straights and decelerated for the turns. Powering hard out of the turns resulted in plenty of satisfying sounds from the engine and showed off the Jaguar’s athletic prowess as it competently gripped the pavement. Michelle’s track experience in Spain was a great way to test the power and capabilities of the all-new Jaguar F-Type R.
