Autobytel’s 2012 Car of the Year, the Hyundai Veloster keeps pulling surprises out of its hatch. At the the 2012 LA Auto Show, Hyundai unveiled the Veloster C3 Concept. The C3, short for convertible three-door takes a normal Veloster Turbo and makes into a unique and more practical vehicle. Hyundai designers cut most of the Veloster Turbo’s roof off to make way for a canvas roll-top roof that can either act like a sunroof or allow taller items, like a bike to fit in the back. The C3 concept also features a cargo area being lined with repurposed skateboard tiles and a revised hatch that can be used as a tailgate. Check out our interview with Jordan Leal, a graphic designer at Hyundai as he talks about some of the key features of this concept.
