If history is any guide, the model variants for the Corvette is certain to grow as the C8 is developed further. For now, the Stingray version is offered in three trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. The sole powerplant for the Corvette is a direct-injected 6.2L V8 that makes 495 horsepower and 470 lb-feet of torque which Chevrolet claims can push the Corvette to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. There is only one transmission available: a lightning-quick 8-speed dual clutch transmission from Tremec. Suspension is handled thanks to a fully independent SLA double wishbone system with forged upper and cast aluminum L-shaped lower control arms dampened with 46mm monotube shocks.
