There are a number of things in this life with which we have love/hate relationships. Typically, our cars’ owner’s manuals fall into this category. On the one hand, we believe everything in the car should operate so intuitively the owner’s manual shouldn’t be required. But on the other hand, when something like a particularly complex, or a deeply buried procedure for say, pairing a Bluetooth device to the car, just won’t be figured out logically, suddenly the owner’s manual becomes our new best friend.
This is when it might come in handy to know where to find your car’s owner’s manual online. Remarkably, even though the law requires every new car delivered to have the owner’s manual included, occasionally they do go missing. Whether you brought it into your home for a bit of light reading before bed right after you bought the car, or for whatever reason it just didn’t make it into your car when you bought it. The owner’s manual can be an indispensable piece of literature.
After all, there’s a lot more information in the manual than just how to activate the smart windshield wipers. The proper service intervals for various aspects of your car are also listed there. Further, if you need to know what grade of oil your manufacturer suggests, you’ll need to consult the manual to learn that as well. Warranty information and troubleshooting tips are also contained within those pages.
In other words, if your car’s owner’s manual goes missing, you could find yourself with some significant problems. But there’s no need to worry if yours has gone MIA. Your lifetime auto advisor is about to hook you up—for free (in most cases).
