Toyota has decided to give the Yaris subcompact a bit of a facelift for the 2015 model year. The facelift includes a more aggressive front end look with a larger air dam and chrome trim running into the headlights. Inside, the dashboard and center stack have been slightly restyled and now feature more soft-touch materials. Toyota has also added more sound deadening to make the Yaris a bit quieter.
Under the skin, Toyota made some changes to Yaris' chassis to make it more rigid. There's also a retuned suspension which provides improved ride and handling characteristics. Not seeing any change is the 1.5L inline-four producing 105 horsepower and is paired up to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.
The 2015 Yaris will be available in a two-door or four-door hatchback, and in three trim levels with no options packages. The base L gets fifteen-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and Toyota's Entune touchscreen radio. Next up is the LE which comes with fifteen-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, power mirrors, steering-wheel audio controls, keyless entry, and an immobilizer. Wrapping up the Yaris trim levels is the SE which comes with sixteen-inch alloy wheels, larger front brakes, larger anti-roll bars, LED running lights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, tachometer, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob.
