Blind-spot monitoring has become a must-have feature for SUV buyers, and for good reason. The primary duty of an SUV is to carry families on their errands and trips, and safety is paramount. Also, most SUVs are a bit larger than passenger cars, and while visibility is generally excellent, a little reminder always helps.
Every SUV manufacturer except MINI offers blind-spot monitoring. But to help SUV shoppers narrow their test-drive lists, here are 10 2018 SUVs on sale now that offer blind spot monitoring as standard equipment. Admittedly, these SUVs tend towards the higher end of the price scale, but to raise your curiosity, we’ll reveal that the best-selling SUV in America includes blind-spot monitoring as standard equipment on all trim levels. Read on to find out which one that is and learn about our other picks.
You’re not surprised that an SUV with a starting price of $231,825 has standard blind spot monitoring, right? If that’s not enough to interest you in the Bentayga, consider that its 600-horsepower 12-cylinder engine will take this SUV from 0-60 in just 4 seconds, or reflect on the custom embroidered leather upholstery that wraps around some of the most comfortable seats ever made. (Conventional blind-spot monitoring is available instead with the Pilot's Elite trim.)
The three-row Pilot provides seating for seven to eight passengers or 109 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The HR-V is the least expensive vehicle on our list, and comes with up to 58.8 cubic feet of space for your stuff.
