It’s time to get a new SUV, but maybe buying one isn’t the best way to go. Leasing is an excellent alternative for those on a tighter budget, as the monthly and down payments often are more affordable than buying outright. A lease also allows you the opportunity to switch into a new car sooner, since the terms are shorter than traditional new-car financing.

Each automaker offers its own lease deals, and some are better than others. Here are 10 cheap SUV lease deals to take advantage of this summer. Keep in mind, lease deals vary from region to region, so check with your local dealer to confirm what’s available in your area.

2019 Jeep Compass

The 2019 Jeep Compass Latitude with front-wheel drive currently is available for lease at $179 per month for 42 months, with $3,499 due at signing. The offer expires on July 1, 2019. The Compass is a compact SUV with room for five passengers and plenty of cargo. There’s 27.2 cubic feet behind the rear seats, and 59.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

Power for the Compass comes from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. While the Compass with four-wheel drive can tow up to 2,000 pounds, it’s not recommended for front-wheel drive models.

2019 Kia Sorento

The 2019 Kia Sorento LX with front-wheel drive currently is available for lease at $199 per month for 24 months, with $3,656 due at signing. You must take delivery by July 1, 2019. This SUV has three rows of seating with room for seven passengers. Power comes from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Sorento has great cargo room with 11.3 cubic feet behind the third row, 38.0 cubic feet behind the second row, and 73.0 cubic feet behind the first row. It also can tow up to 2,000 pounds of additional cargo.

2019 Ford Escape

The 2019 Ford Escape SE with all-wheel drive currently is available for $179 per month for 24 months, with $3,619 due at signing. You must take delivery of your new Escape by July 1, 2019. The Escape has power coming from a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 179 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

It has room for five passengers and their cargo, with 34 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 68 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. If that’s still not enough, then the Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds of additional cargo, making it a versatile SUV choice.

2020 Kia Soul

The 2020 Kia Soul LX currently is available with a 36-month lease at $199 per month, with $2,653 due at signing. You must take delivery by July 1, 2019. This subcompact SUV is all-new with a more modern design that still maintains its distinctive boxy styling. Power for the Soul LX comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission.

There’s 24.2 cubic feet for cargo behind the rear seats, with 62.1 cubic feet behind with those seats folded. The Soul is incredibly versatile for cargo with a wide hatchback opening that makes loading large, bulky items easy, and a dual-level cargo board for storing smaller items.

2019 Chevrolet Equinox

The 2019 Chevrolet Equinox LT with front-wheel drive currently is available for $199 per month for 39 months, with $3,739 due at signing. This offer expires July 1, 2019. The LT trim falls in the middle of the Equinox lineup and is available with no less than three different powertrains, including a 1.6-liter turbo diesel.

There’s room for five passengers, with two rows of seating and good cargo capacity. The Equinox has 29.90 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats, with 63.90 cubic feet with those seats folded down. Even with front-wheel drive, it can tow up to 1,500 pounds of additional cargo.

2019 Toyota RAV4

The all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4 LE is currently available for $219 per month for 36 months with $2,999 due at signing. This lease deal expires on July 8, 2019. The RAV4 LE is the base model in the lineup with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has room for five passengers and comes with standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0.

This includes pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, and road sign assist. The 2019 Mazda CX-5 Sport with front-wheel drive currently is available for $245 per month for 36 months, with $2,499 due at signing. You must take delivery by June 24, 2019. The Mazda CX-5 is a more upscale choice, making this lease a good deal for those who want a taste of luxury in their SUV. There’s seating for up to five passengers along with a standard 7-inch color touchscreen, two front USB ports, and HD Radio.

Under the hood is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a manual-shift with Sport mode, so you can have plenty of fun with the CX-5.

2019 Honda CR-V

The 2019 Honda CR-V LX with front-wheel drive currently is available with a 36-month lease for $249 a month, with $2,399 due at signing. This deal ends on July 8, 2019. The LX is the base trim of this five-passenger SUV, powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. This is paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission.

It has a roomy interior with 39.2 cubic feet for cargo behind the rear seats, and 75.8 cubic feet behind the front seats with the second row folded. Even the base model of the CR-V has a well-appointed interior, with automatic climate control, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering column, and rear-seat heater ducts standard.

2019 Volkswagen Tiguan

The 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan S with all-wheel drive currently is available for $229 per month for a 39-month lease, with $2,999 due at signing. The offer ends on July 1, 2019. Many lease deals on SUVs don’t include all-wheel drive models. This one does, which makes the Tiguan offer that much better.

There’s room for seven passengers, with three rows of seating and a spacious cargo area. There’s 12.0 cubic feet behind the third row, 33.0 cubic feet behind the second row, and 65.7 cubic feet behind the first row. The Tiguan also can tow up to 1,500 pounds, providing plenty of versatility for a cargo and passenger configuration to suit your needs.

2019 Nissan Rogue

The 2019 Nissan Rogue S with all-wheel drive is available for $199 per month for 36 months, with $2,799 due at signing. The offer ends July 1, 2019. This five-passenger SUV includes a 7-inch touchscreen display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and two USB ports standard. There’s also cruise control, four cargo tie-down hooks, and rear-passenger air conditioning vents.

The Rogue is strong on safety with standard blind spot warning, intelligent lane intervention, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear cross traffic alert. It also includes rear door alert, which detects when the rear doors were opened before a trip, but not reopened after. If this happens, it sounds a chime and displays a reminder on the instrument cluster.
