For some people, the interior is the most important part of a car. It makes sense as you probably spend days, or maybe even weeks a year, sitting in your car’s seats. Something cool in your car’s interior might be just the thing you need to make the long drive or the commute home after a stressful day at work tolerable. If that sounds like something you might enjoy, then you’re in luck. The expert editors at Autobytel have come up with a list of ten cars with super cool interiors. There should be something for everyone, whether you’re looking for something sporty, something luxurious, or just something fun.
The latest Beetle features a modern interior with some cool old-school touches including the colorful dash and door panels on some trims. In addition, all trim levels (except for the S) gain an extra Käferfach heritage-inspired glovebox, and in Coast trim you get Pepita Cloth seating that sets off the rest of the interior nicely. Not so retro features available on higher trim versions include a 400-watt Fender Premium Audio System, a Climatronic dual-zone automatic climate control system and three-color, four-position interior ambient lighting.

What really sets the Maxima's interior apart is the extent to which Nissan has gone to isolate the occupants from the outside elements. Using acoustic laminated glass for the windshield and front side windows, as well as offering active noise cancellation on Bose-equipped models, the cabin is very quiet. The super comfy Zero Gravity Seats with 3D Bolsters are inspired by zero-gravity space travel to provide a natural and neutral seating position that can help reduce fatigue, and are available with quilted inserts made from premium leather or Italian-made Alcantara. Of course you can also get an 8” infotainment system, a Bose Premium Audio System with 11 speakers and Nissan’s Intelligent Around View Monitor that gives you a virtual 360-degree view of the car.

Audi has earned a reputation for sleek and stylish interiors, and the A4 is no exception. With a modern design and high-quality materials, features include a full-color head-up display, three-zone climate control, an ‘aerated’ glove box and a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound, 19 speakers and a 755-watt 16-channel amplifier. What really makes the interior of the A4 (and several other Audi models) extra cool is the Audi virtual cockpit, a 12.3-inch fully digital high-resolution instrument cluster that can display a classic speedometer and tachometer combination as well as navigation and infotainment or a mix of everything. Once you’ve used one, it’s hard to go back.

The BMW i3 has a number of interesting interior features, but we think the coolest is the brand’s dedication to trying to use sustainable materials in its "i series". For example, the wood in the interior is sustainably grown, open-pore eucalyptus and the fabric in the seats is made from recycled bottles. Even the plant where the i3 is built is carbon-neutral, running on 100% renewable energy and using 50% less energy and 70% less water than conventional factories. The interior also includes an Infinity Premium Audio system with 8 speakers, an 8-inch touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster that lets you keep tabs on the electric powertrain.

You might not have expected a Kia to be on our list of cars with super cool interiors, but the Cadenza offers an amazing number of features for the money. All the requisite options are available, including a heated steering wheel, an 8” touchscreen and a 630-watt 12-speaker Harman/Kardon QuantumLogic Premium Surround Sound system. However, that’s not all the Cadenza offers; you can also get a wireless smartphone charger, a head up display, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. If you really want to coddle your rear-seat passengers (or plan on being chauffeured around), you can even get rear side-window sunshades and a power rear window sunshade.

Volvo has done a great job of making its S90 stand out with loads of available features. A Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system is available, along with a four-zone climate control system, rear side window sunshades, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, and a crystal gear-shift knob by Orrefors.
But, the coolest feature is CleanZone, a system that monitors incoming air quality. It senses substances such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen dioxides and recirculates the air inside the cabin when they are detected. This reduces odors and ensures that the air inside the car is clean — often cleaner than the outside air.

Lexus is usually known for building reliable cars, rather than stylish ones. However, the LC500 is completely different. With great styling both inside and out (and some performance to back it up), it's downright cool. The interior is particularly nice, and the first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful Alcantara-trimmed door panels with their bezel-less handles. The rest of the interior is up to the same level, with a glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, and high-quality materials as far as the eye can see. Tech-wise you get a Mark Levinson premium audio system, a 10.3-inch high-resolution split-screen display, an 8.0-inch digital adaptive instrument cluster and a full-color Heads-Up Display.

As you would expect from an uber expensive luxury automobile, the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Sedan is loaded with just about every feature you can think of. The handcrafted cabin is exquisitely finished in real wood, leather and aluminum. There are available heated, ventilated, massaging and reclining front and rear seats. You can also get folding rear tables, a power rear-window, and rear-side window sunshades. Energizing Comfort Control is a cool system that coordinates the climate control, Air Balance fragrance, ambient lighting, audio system, massaging driver seat and heated armrests. And if you took the ‘super cool’ part of our title literally, the Mercedes-Maybach offers heated and cooled rear cupholders and a refrigerated compartment concealed between the rear seatbacks.

When you buy a million-plus dollar supercar, you expect it to have a fantastic interior, but Pagani’s models have always stepped it up a notch. Everywhere you look in the Huayra you’ll find intricate detail after intricate detail, whether its a piece of exquisite leather, brushed aluminum, polished titanium or perfectly-laid carbon fiber.
The most obvious cool feature is the exposed shifter, which looks impressive without sacrificing function. As you’d expect, the customization options are nearly endless, and it seems as though no two Huayras are ever the same.

As you’d expect from a Bentley, the Mulsanne has an impressive interior. Offering only the best of the best materials, it includes a choice of 24 premium grade hide colors and a selection of real-wood veneers. The front is luxurious enough, but the place to be in the Mulsanne is the rear, where you get a large-format sunroof with Alcantara sunblind and electric privacy curtains. You can also opt for ventilated and massaging seats, a ‘Bentley Theatre’ rear seat entertainment system, a refrigerated bottle cooler, and folding picnic tables. The level of quality in the Bentley almost has to be experienced to be believed, and it makes the Mulsanne tops on our list of ten cars with super cool interiors.
