Satellite radio is one of the best things to happen to cars since the first car radio was invented in 1930. Satellite radio provides coast-to-coast coverage for a modest monthly subscription fee, and it means that wherever you drive in this great land of ours—provided the cloud or tree cover isn’t too thick—you can listen to your favorite station. Here are 10 of the best vehicles on the market that include satellite radio integration.

1) Jeep Patriot

Jeep’s entry-level Patriot is one of the oldest vehicles in the Jeep lineup, and yet it remains a strong seller thanks to its low price (it’s Jeep’s cheapest model) and good value-for-money. The least-expensive version, the Patriot Sport, has a price tag under $19,000, and while its standard equipment list is limited, it does come with satellite radio—and a generous one-year Sirius/XM subscription is included in the price.

2) Mazda3

The Mazda3 is one of our favorite compact cars for a multitude of reasons, not least is the fact that it’s big fun to drive—and what goes better with a good drive than good tunes? Satellite radio is a great thing to have. The bad news is that it doesn’t come standard on the Mazda3—it’s optional on the mid-line Touring model and standard on the Grand Touring, both with a 4-month trial subscription.

3) Mercedes-Benz GLA 250

Mercedes’ entry-level SUV has been a big hit with buyers, thanks to its smart size and low price (for a Mercedes, that is). Mercedes has done a wonderful job preserving the ambience that has made these cars so desirable, even in the $32,500 entry-level GLA 250. One thing to know about German luxury cars is that everything but the basics is optional, and that applies to satellite radio: It’s part of a $2750 Premium Package that also includes a high-end stereo, heated seats, keyless ignition, and a rearview camera. Were we buying a new 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250, we’d go for it.

4) Chevrolet Camaro

The new Camaro is smaller, lighter, quicker, and more agile, but it has all the attitude we’ve come to love from this modern-day muscle car. Even the entry-level Camaro, which features a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, is a thrill to drive—and it comes standard not only with Satellite radio, but a 12-month All Access Sirius XM subscription (including online access, so you can listen at home).

5) Toyota Camry

Space, comfort, and reliability have made Toyota’s midsize Camry one of the country’s most popular cars. Toyota knows the market better than anyone, and it knows what people want—so it’s no surprise that satellite radio is on the menu for Camry buyers. It’s an option on 4-cylinder LE and SE models (part of a $775 upgraded stereo) and standard on all other Camrys, and it comes with a 3-month trial subscription.

6) Chevrolet Corvette

To say the Corvette is all about performance isn’t entirely true—this iconic sports car also has luxury leanings, with a comfortable interior fitted with lots of creature comforts. Naturally, satellite radio is on the list: It's standard on 2LT and 3LT models, complete with a 1-year SiriusXM subscription. We like the way Chevrolet has integrated SiriusXM with its display stereo system, making it easy to browse channels and set favorites.

7) Ram 1500

The Ram (Formerly Dodge Ram) 1500 is a popular half-ton pickup that is dripping with attitude and muscle. Nowadays, pickup trucks come with just about every feature offered in passenger cars, and satellite radio is among them: Ram offers it as a reasonably priced option on the commercial-grade Tradesman, Express, and HFE models (it’s part of a $450 Popular Equipment Group) and standard on all other models, complete with a 12-month subscription.

8) Chevrolet Silverado

Maybe you’re a Chevy person rather than a Ram person. No worries: Chevy trucks are on the satellite ratio bandwagon. As with Ram, Chevy offers satellite radio as an option in its lower end Silverado 1500 Work Truck, LS, and Custom models, and it’s standard on LT, LTZ and High Country trim levels. Chevys come with a 3-month SiriusXM trial subscription.

9) Lincoln Navigator

Lincoln’s big Navigator has long led the charge among fullsize luxury suvs, and Lincoln loads it up with standard equipment. The standard-fit stereo is a THX-II certified surround-sound system that includes—yep, you guessed it—SiriusXM satellite radio. A 6-month trial subscription is standard, but if you opt for a Navigator with navigation, you get a class-busting 6-year subscription included in the price.

Ford Mustang

Another icon of American roads, the Ford Mustang is all about rock-and-roll—so naturally it offers satellite radio as an option on lower-end models and as standard equipment on higher-end 'Stangs. Pop for satellite radio on your Mustang, and you’ll get a 6-month subscription with online access—a handy feature to try, as it lets you continue listening on your computer or smartphone when you leave your car.
