The 2023 Genesis G90 is a luxury sedan that was completely redesigned for this model year. It has a luxurious interior with standard features that aren’t even offered on other cars, even in their top trims. Materials are high-quality, the ride is smooth and quiet, and there’s an abundance of tech and safety features.
It’s a true luxury car with countless features worth calling out. Here are the 10 best features of the 2023 Genesis G90.
This is a luxury car, and a big part of any luxury experience is not having to work too hard to do anything. In the Genesis G90, this includes opening and closing the doors. There’s no latch to pull to open the doors. In fact, you don’t even have to push them open. Instead, there’s a little button built right into the door.
Push the button, and the door automatically unlatches and pops open, so it requires just a gentle nudge to open fully. Closing the door is just as effortless. A button in the center console swings the door shut when you’re ready to go.

The base engine in the G90 is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque that easily gets this large sedan up to speed. It’s a solid option, but there is another choice. For those who want more performance, there’s a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 with 409 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque.
This version of the G90 delivers aggressive acceleration that makes getting up to highway speeds outright fun. Hit the gas for a bit of extra power to maneuver around slower vehicles and it delivers without hesitation. Both engines are responsive, but the supercharged V6 is the more engaging of the two.

The average car has cloth seating surfaces with a wide range of available fabrics. Sometimes there’s a pattern to that fabric and sometimes there’s even eye-catching contrast stitching. On top trims, or on the full lineup of some luxury models, there may be leather seating surfaces. This creates a more premium interior, but there is something better still.
Nappa leather is a special kind of leather, and it’s standard on both trims of the Genesis G90. This leather undergoes a special tanning process that makes it softer and more flexible than other leathers. This full-grain leather is also more durable and more resistant to fading so it retains its beauty long after other leathers lose their luster.

The Genesis G90 has a standard 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen mounted horizontally on the dashboard. It has crisp, clean graphics with easy-to-follow menus that slide from left to right across the screen. It’s set back slightly from the edge of the dash, but if the reach is too far, then simply use the dial on the center console.
This dial lets you easily navigate between the various options without having to reach for the touchscreen. It’s also an easy way for the front passenger to make selections without having to lean forward in their seat to reach the screen.

As a luxury car, the Genesis G90 has a premium audio system as a standard feature. Both trims have a Bang & Olufsen sound system, but if you go with the top trim, it has 26 speakers for an unparalleled sound experience. It includes Virtua Venues, which uses a series of algorithms to duplicate the sound of renowned venues.
Not only does the Bang & Olufsen system sound incredible, it adds an element of visual appeal. Each grill cover was specifically designed for Genesis. They’re made of anodized aluminum that looks clean and elegant while ensuring peak performance.

Most of the time, the best place to sit in any car is the driver’s seat. After all, the driver is always there so the focus is rightly on their experience. While the driver won’t be disappointed sitting up front in the G90, they might be a little jealous of whoever gets to sit in back.
Rear passengers have their own 8-inch touchscreen in the center armrest along with a little storage cubby for holding smaller items. The rear passengers can adjust the ambient lighting, raise and lower the shades on the side and rear windows, and control the temperature to ensure their comfort.

Once again, this is a feature that could make the driver jealous. Instead of being an afterthought, the rear seats in the Genesis G90 are supremely comfortable with features that make them incredibly relaxing. In addition to the touch display in the center armrest, there are available reclining and massaging rear seats.
This can once again be controlled right from the center armrest with separate controls for each rear passenger. Even the angle of the headrests, which are luxurious little pillows, is adjustable. The passenger-side rear passenger can truly stretch out and relax as the front passenger seat folds forward to make room for a rear footrest.

The Genesis G90 has an extensive list of standard safety features designed to help prevent accidents. These include forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind-spot avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, driver attention warning, and high beam assist.
There’s also a blind-spot view monitor. Any time the turn signal is activated, a camera view of what’s in the right or left blind spot appears on the instrument cluster. It’s a great double-check to ensure that you don’t miss anything that might be hiding in your blind spot right as you’re trying to make a turn.

All-wheel drive is a must-have feature for many people, especially those who live where winter weather brings with it plenty of snow and ice. Although all-wheel drive is something most associated with getting through winter’s worst, it’s a benefit even if you don’t live where it snows.
Anytime the roads are less than perfect, all-wheel drive helps maintain traction so you maintain control. That includes roads that are slick from summer rain or even sand. All-wheel drive is also beneficial when driving at speed through twisting roads. No matter where you live and what kind of weather you expect, all-wheel drive helps ensure you remain confidently in control of your vehicle.

There’s a lot that goes into making a luxury car and much of it is visible. Beautiful materials, sleek designs, and bold grilles are all a part of the luxury car vibe. What you see is part of it, but there’s also what you feel — or don’t.
The Genesis G90 delivers a composed, quiet ride no matter the road surface. Pebbled or broken pavement, the unpredictable surfaces of a construction zone, even the seams in a road surface all go unnoticed. This is thanks to a suspension system that absorbs those imperfections so people inside the car can simply enjoy the trip.
